School has been great! I went to the State swim meet which was amazing and got 16th (haha) in my relay. It doesn't sound very good, but it's good for such a small team. I started track 2 weeks ago. It was really fun but I kept getting really sore. Wednesday of last week I went to the doctor cause I didn't feel good and we found out I have mono. I was really sad cause I don't get to do track at all. But God puts things in our lives for a reason. Actually, without track I'll have more time to focus on raising money for camp and LTIA! I am soooooooo excited for this summer. LTIA is first in the middle of June. We get to go to DC and do some lobbying (I think that's how you spell it) and learn all about how to witness and be a great testimony for God. I'm hoping it will be well worth the fundraising! We're going to sell t shirts, do a bake sale, and maybe some other stuff. So if you have any ideas for raising money then I would really appreciate it! Any ways, right after that we (mom and dad are going!) are going to a new camp in Texas. It costs like twice as much but Bro. Chuck said it's well worth the money. He taught at the camp last year and I'm excited to see the humungo water slide! A couple weeks ago I got to go to winter jam with my youth and it was the best concert I've been to. Toby Mac and Brandon Heath were there. I saw this new singer that has become one of my favorite named Francesca B. She's an amazing singer and I love her songs. Well I'd better go get ready for church. We're studying John on Wednesday night and I've learned A LOT about Jesus' life! Love, ABSTER!

Okay Okay so I haven't posted anything since I don't even know but it has been a VERY busy year! It has gone by so fast and I can't believe it's already 2009. We started up swimming again this week and I'm in the Dog weeks of January which means twice as hard and more work. For newyears eve our church had a fellowship with watching Tim Hawkins for about and hour full of laughter. Before that was awesome chili and soups with KARAOKE! haha. It was fun but I couldn't get mom up there to sing. Friday I went to see a movie with Blake called Bedtime Stories which was good. It was funny and cute. Then we went to Johnny's to eat with her family. I'm so excited for my birthday I can hardly wait. Also before that will be my OCDA concert and practice for 3 days. Well I'll try to start posting more often and keep you all informed of my life haha. Love ya

This Week

This week has been pretty relaxing. Tuesday I woke up at 6 and went to run. I'm not really sure if I'm going to do cross country in high school but we'll see. After we got back, I had a nap. Then we headed to the mall to just look a little. I had piano at 4 then went to eat with Blake and spent the night. We stayed up FORever trying to make her brother's b-day cake. Today, I got to sleep in! Mom and I just cleaned a bunch the whole day. Then we went to church and I was in Bro. Chuck's class for the first time. We are studying Proverbs and tonight's was Chapter 26 about the fool and the sluggard. So that's how my week has been so far. Just same old same old. Remember to pray for Bro. Aaron in Iraq and Zeke. Ceder Hills Baptist Camp

This has been a BUSY week. The speaker, Bro. Blair Nelson was an amazing speaker and I felt like during every message he was talking right to me. My favorite message was on the publican and pharisee. The man looks on the outward appearance when God is the only one who knows how our hearts really are ,whether like the Pharisee or Publican. I also loved the message on staying pure because as I'm going to public high school next year I needed that reminder that this God's creation so we need to honor him with the things we do. This week, I met a lot of new friends which was lots of fun. I also had fun playing basketball and volleyball. All was the normal until the last night (weather wise). When we woke up thursday morning, there were 40 mph winds which was not fun with all the dirt in our eyes. Later, at noon during chapel the power kept going on and off. Then later that night at night chapel Bro. Nelson prayed that if it was His will, that the Lord could hold off the weather. And you know what? After having regular power outages all day, we didn't have ONE single one at all in the two and a 1/2 hours of message and invitation. That's not even the best part. This morning, during our last service, Bro. Fowler told us that he was watching Gary England (Amanda knows who he is) and he said he had never seen anything like it before. Really bad weather was heading right towards Binger (which is where we were) and all of a sudden, right before it got to Binger, it just stopped and headed east. God is so good! This week has been such a blessing. Here are a few pictures of the week.

WOW! I haven't been on the computer in a LONG! time. The last month of school was really busy with finals and saying bye to friends. The last day of school was sad but my friend Jordan and I had fun. Memorial Day weekend we went to NaNa's and ate buscuits and gravy every day for breakfast. We also got a new camera because mom accidentally dropped our other one. Now I'm getting ready for camp next week. I'm going to be the only senior girl this year but it will still be fun. I'll be posting more in two weeks about camp so love you all!

Talent Show

Hey everyone!
Well, first of all, please pray for Na-Na because this Monday she will be having surgery down in Houston, TX. We're all going down there during me and mom's spring break.
Second, I just enrolled for freshmen year at Santa Fe and I'm so excited. The only thing I'm not excited about is the enviorment.
Next was the talent show I was in last night. It was so amazing! I sang and played the guitar to Stained Glass Masquerade by Casting Crowns. I'm so glad my throat was better by last night. The day before, I got strep throat and barely got to go to it. Thankfully I got better and sang.

Hey! So this is imbarassing but I haven't posted since NOVEMBER!!!! God has been so good to me this year though. January was caos with vocal and basketball and my birthday. Well Now I'm pretty much stress free and am getting my high school enrollment packets next week. I'm really excited and hope I will make the right choices of classes. I got to go to a CASTING CROWNS concert the other day and it was soooooooooo awesome! I sang along with every song and got some song books with my money. Jennifer came for my birthday and we ate sushi and went shopping. Last night me had a workers banquet with catered food and everything! It was really great and I young man from our church, Chris Bell, brought a devotion over the church body. In like two weeks, I am taking my friends for my late birthday party to a concert called the winter jam with 8 christian singers including Mercy Me. I'm really excited for that. Well I've got to go get supplies.

I praise God for EVERYTHING! that happened this week! It has been so busy but soooo awesome! First I try out for OCDA and make it, then my basketball team win our first game. OCDA is such a big accomplishment, I can't even express in words. It was me and 5 other guys that made it. I will be the only girl from my school lol! Our basket ball game was a tough match but we beat them 32-22. Well I hope you all hve a great Thanksgiving and I'm thinking about you all every day! LOVE YOU! Abster :D

Wow! I have been so busy with basketball and singing it's not even funny. O guess what?! I made VARSITY is b-ball! I was so shocked because I'd never played for real. But now I'm learning some cool things and am excited for my first game on Thursday next week. I'm so grateful that no games are on Wednesday!!
Anyways, COCDA went well and I had a lot of fun. Now it's OCDA I'm trying for and it's the whole entire state and 7th, 8th, AND 9th graders. I've been practicing a lot and I'm happy that I already knew one song, Battle Hymn of the Republic.
Mollie's birthday is tomorrow. She'll be 11!!! She's still a puppy at heart though! Lol. School has been kinda stressful with a bunch of HW and all but God has helped me through it all. I can't wait till summer though ha ha. O and I've been "trying" to save my mula to hopefully go to yall's camp. I've been praying and asking for any babysitting opportunities. The other day I got to take care of someone's dog so that was a start.

Youth Video!

Hey! This is our youth's video we made about a month ago for a youth rally. The theme was Inside Out! Enjoy:

O and on saturday we went to another rally in Texas. It was so cool and personally I liked it better then Lukfata. We had these huge sumo suits that you got into and would be in a blowup ring. Then there was also a blow up jousting ring. Bro. Chuck won the so called UFC between all the youth leaders. It was lots of fun to watch and a great memory. There was also wonderful preaching. I forgot his name (oops) but he made a video about his life/ testimony. It was so inspiring because he went from being a druggy, all the way to an amazing pastor who loves the Lord. I can't wait till next year!

COCDA!

Today was COCDA tryouts. It is a choir thing where you try out to be in the choir. If you make it, you get to be in the final choir in like November. I did my audition and I think I did pretty good! Hopefully I'll make it! The songs were pretty easy this year and I knew all my notes. I'm so glad Mom's home! I'm glad she had a good time but me and dad needed her lol! Oh and I'm already saving my money to go to camp with my brother-in-law's youth! I was really disappointed that I couldn't go last year so I'm starting early this year lol!

Last weekend my youth and I went to Lukfata Baptist Church for a youth rally and we got 1st place on our skit! I was so excited. It was lots of fun. We played basketball the whole night really then went to bed. In the morning we woke up to smoke in our faces. Our room was the worst because our girls were sleeping right above the kitchen. After breakfast, there were two services and a lot of fun skits. We ate lunch and then were on our way back. It was a long drive but was worth every bit. I really hope I can go next year!

I'm so excited I have a new neice! I can't wait to buy all the frilly dresses and all that!
Well last night at church my youth group and I made a skit/video. It was about looking at the inside out. We did it because every year there's a youth rally that Lukfata Baptist church in I don't know where, holds. They have a time where everyone does skits. My group didn't want to get in front of about who knows amount of kids and do our skit. So we made one in the room with all the books to be like a library. I was the snobby, pretty girl but was really ugly on the inside. This one guy comes and asks me out and I say yes. The guy who asks me out goes to his other friend who is this weirdo but I good christian guy. It was very hard not to laugh in this seen because he is acting and talking like napoleon dynamite. The christian boy shows him a verse in Mark 7:20-23. After that, the guy wants to ask the mean girl not to go out with him that night. So he goes back to her (me) and she has her back turned reading a book. We made my hair look normal in the back so no one knows what's coming. We put dark purple eye shadow around my eyes, put a huge mole on my face, put black eye liner on one of my teeth and put my hair in a freaky way. She turns around slowly while this guy is playing scary music on his guitar and some one screams. The one guy cancels the date and ya. It was a lot of fun and had a good message. I'm hopping I can get a copy of it somehow and put it on here.

New School!

School this year is so much fun! I have great teachers. My favorite is Mr. Elmore! He makes me and my friend Jordan laugh so hard! Oh Jordan! I am so happy I got Every core class with Jordan Nix this year! She's a good christian friend of mine and she helps me stand up for what I believe. Like the other day. Ok there's this guy named Tom and he's Athiest. Me and him got in a huge arguement and I had no where to go cause I can't read to him things from the Bible if he doesn't believe in it. So she helped me explain to him a little but he still believes just as strongly(I think). Yep but this year is going to be awesome. Oh and cross country is good. I haven't been doing my best in the races but I'm hoping to do better in others. I can't wait till I'm an Aunt again! And don't laugh but I've always wanted to buy those little girly dresses! LOL but I'll post again soon :D!

Hey! Sorry I got kinda busy with summer and all. But anyways, 2 weeks ago I went to Roger's Baptist Youth conf./mission conf.! It was sooooo much fun. The first day we just had the normal night mission service. But the second day we went to the youth service and Bro. Chuck taught about having God today in our life. Then we went to stone briar mall where we had the choice of ice skating or shopping. I wanted to ice skate but I went shopping instead. After, Jennifer met up with us and we went to eat cheese cake factory. It was so yummy! We had some sort of chicken and a cheese cake at the end.She then droped me off at church and I went to the service. The next day we had the youth service and the played "spew". The point of the game was to keep all the stuff in your mouth with out swallowing it or spitting it out. They had an asprin in their mouths and drank a lot of zup. Man it was hilarious! After that, our group decided to go to sonic cause our group was small and we all didnt like what they were serving. So we got there and they were sooooo slow. We ended up having to leave w/out food because we were supposed to be takin other kids in our van to the activities. HAHA but we got there late and every one was all ready lined up ready to go. Waiting on us and starring us down as we drove in. It was freaky! lol But anyways we had so much fun at the arcade thingy. I played this cool new thing called whirly ball. It's a cross between Lacross/bumper cars. Then me, Mr. Chuck, and my friend Kara played lazer Tag. It was awesome! We got on a team and I was looking one way and Mr. Chuck was facing the other. Then Kara was checking to see if anyone was shooting us from the top. Then she left and I left and Chuck got nailed by like 4 little girls it was funny. So that was my trip. :D

Well yesterday I went to take care of the puppy and there was a note. The Lady didn't get the job so I'm not able to take care of her dog. Luckily, I might be able to take care of her during the school year. But I also tolld a lady at church that I can baby sit her daughter and she said I can do that maybe twice a week. So I'm excited yet bumed. O well.
Me and mom went garage saleing on sat. and I had lots of fun spending only 2.50 on a whole bag of clothes!
O my goodness! ok so last night a lady from our church and her son[which is in the youth] had a Bible study! I was so excited because we haven't had one since the DeLeons left. Anyways, we are going to start having one every monday night at 7pm. I'm so happy because during the school year I will be able to keep my relationship with God even stronger. Last night we talked about relationships with non believers. It was a great lesson and I can't wait to go back next monday.

Today is going to be BUSY!!
Ok so I woke up at 6 and ran. I took a long shower and am refreshed. Now I'm about to go take care of the little puppy[LILY]. Then we all [mom dad and i] have eye appointments. I'm sooooo excited though cause tonight one of the guys from our youth invited everyone to have a devotion tonight. I hope this will kick off our youth and get it going better. So today is a great/busy day.

Well, yesterday one of Mom's friends gave me a job. I get to take care of her puppy while she's gone and I'm sooooo excited. Not only that I get 5 bucks a day but I love playing and taking care of dogs! I'll have $40 more then I had so hopefully i can get enough to come see you guys[Nick and Amanda, Zeke and Bryson, and AJ] Yep so keep praying for me please and I'm really praying to get some more jobs like babysitting or something like that.

How Funny!

I thought this was funny how God just put it right there.

OK so like 2 weeks ago I dedicated my life to the Lord and was reading the Bible every night but it's so hard to understand and let alone read. I've been reading one chapter of Proverbs a night. So I prayed before I read Proverbs 2, Lord please help me understand Your Word better and be able to read it and not sound like I'm speaking a different language. Then right after I'd said my prayer I read the first five verses and couldn't believe my eyes. God answered my question right there. It says the way to understanding is to keep reading it. So I just thought that was hilarious! lol yep....

Anywho, today I went to the dentist and I'm about to get my hair cut after like 2 months.
I can't wait till Roger's!!!!!! It's gonna be so awesome. And Mr. Chuck is going to take whoever wants to, down to somewhere in south Oklahoma and help pass out tracks and help a pastor do somethings at a newly started church. I'm excited about that too.

Camp

So here's me at camp. I was sitting on the bunk. My cabin was amazing and so much fun! I met some new people from other churches but really got to know my church friends.
Camp this year was AWESOME! OK, so the competition was great. Me and my friend Taylor G. sang a duet and got first place. I was so excited. This year was better than last year cause last year was all about, o I've got to get first place, and it went by so fast. But this year was great because I felt like I was singing or playing the piano or playing volleyball not for winning but for God. And I actually think our church did better this year because of that!
Bro. Carter is an awesome Preacher! He taught the whole week about "Running Rebels Reaping Rath". These lessons really touched my heart. All of them sent me running to the alter at the end lol. The one that impacted me the most though was "Outward Rebellion". He told us stories of people he knew that you could just see the rebellion in the way they act. The three points where Action, Attitude, and Thought. Your thought effects your attitude and Your attitude causes you to do things bad or wrong. Or it could be the opposite, you have good thoughts so on.
